I use a silicone spray once a year during maintenance. The spray can be used on tow bars and the slide gears. Roadmaster sells a specific spray and so does Camping World. I also use a spray foam designed for the slide seals once a year. I spray it on and wipe it off.

I have just gotten a 2008 Four Winds Hurricane with 3 slides and I have the same question. I have heard about the baby powder along the rubber seals. Which I've done.

But, I am wondering about the gear mechanisms. What should I use, how and how often? Thanx as always for any help. Michael

It's my understanding that simple swipe with a cloth that has baby powder (or other similar powder) is sufficient. There is also an airasol dry lubricant that will do the same thing.

I do mine twice a year with the can.
