Just when i think I have it figured out I read they are for triple steps would that still work on mine?
Thank you.

If I recall correctly, the motor used by Kwikee was a dead-on match to the driver's side power window motor for a 1996 Taurus. It was a gamble for $30, but, get this, it worked too well and over-torqued the gearbox. When I opened the gearbox, all the teeth fell on my bench. Had to buy an integrated motor-gearbox assembly anyway. Sometimes the shortcut works...
Later that year, 2018, Hurricane Michael dropped two pines on that Coachmen and totalled it. That ended the warranty on the new motor-gearbox.

Yes, unfortunately I am unable to read the sticker, and the numbers cast into them don't seem to match any.
I think i found one that will work.
Will they stop trying to retrack when it gets seated even if there more pull from the motor?

If I'm reading you correctly, the motor keeps running, going thump thump, when the steps reach the end of travel.
That would be the 3 cushings in the motor gear box, that have collapsed.

If all you may need is the motor I used to get them from Orielly auto parts. If I remember they were Ford/Mercury window motors for 2 door applications. I cant remember if they were right or left side. Significantly cheaper than from kwikee.

Depending on exactly what you need, get the number off the motor, chances are you can buy it on-line for far less than buying one labeled for an RV.

Normally its not the entire gearbox, rather the plastic part in the gear motor.

We needed a new one about a year ago, taking the number off the motor I was able,to buy it for 1/10th the price of buying the exact same part that said motorhome on it.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

This is the kit from the OEM supplier. But, you can find it cheaper. You HAVE to replace the door magnetic or pin switch when installing this kit. Failure to do that will result in step operating in reverse. The kit comes with the new Magnet for the door. Doug
