Levelers down or up

Hello, I am picking up a new Class C tomorrow that is equipped with hydraulic levelers. I was curious if when parked for a long time, say for winter, do people use the levelers to take weight off the tires? If it matters it is total length of 27 feet Class C, has 4 leveler jacks.

I like your ideas. When air-conditioning systems were first installed in automobiles they were used only in the summer and the compressors weren't used throughout the winter.
Come Spring, our shop was filled with cars leaking R-12 from the various dried out o rings. As improvements were made, the air conditioning compressor came on whenever the defrost cycle was used,that's how it is today. Oil circulation is very important.

If I have not used my Motorhome during the past month, I go out and exercise the Generator, run the Motor and roll forwards and backwards to move the Transmission Oil around and then relevel the rig when it is parked back in it's storage shed. That also gives me a little time to think about my next adventure. JH

We always store our class A for the winter with the Jack's down. Have done so with this MH and the one previous over the last 12 years. We do not adjust the tire pressure. I do wipe down the levelers with WD40 every spring before retracting.

Yes. I forget which one Michelin or Goodyear recommends just what you say as well as increasing tire pressure while stored on the jacks. Remember to adjust pressures when you get ready to roll. Might want to wipe the levelers down with WD40 every now and then to keep the clean.
