Looking at 96 Bounder has a small bulge

Hi guys, I am looking at a 96 Bounder with 11k miles on it. It’s in very nice shape and the outside looks like new but on the side near the kitchen (outside) if you look down the side at the right angle you will see a square like if someone were inside pushing the cabinet above the sink towards the outside and the form of it would start to push through on the outside. The thing is it’s just the outline of what looks like a cabinet but if you push on it it’s hard as a rock. A couple people have told me that’s normal with heat and it may just have shrunk a little and is showing the frame but as long as it’s hard and not soft it’s fine and it’s called intrusion. Is that true? I just want to make sure before I buy it. Thanks!

Thanks guys this isn’t a normal soft bludge it’s like it shrunk around the wood or something as it’s hard and not soft but I would like to know what it is. What is the best way to tell if it’s just this intrusion or in fact water damage? I would think if it was water damage it wouldn’t be so perfectly formed..

I bought a 97 Bounder with several of those bulges. Seller said from water damage and put a new rubber roof on. Have had it about 5 years with no problems.

Hard to tell without a pic or seeing it in person. It could be nothing or it could be water damage.
Before you buy, I would pay a independant RV repair guy to look at it.

Thanks guys! Was for water damage the roof looks brand new. Also I don’t see any water damage from the inside and the bump is hard so I think it’s that intrusion thing but if you think there is anything else I should check i would appreciate it!

I would agree with that.
