We stayed at the Manila KOA and thought accommodations were very nice. Owners were very helpful and doing everything they could to make sure their customers had a pleasant experience. We took a day drive to Dinosaur National Monument and another day drive along the east side of Flaming Gorge. The dam was very interesting. The one campground that looked like it was improved was Lucerne Valley. Don't know if they have any FHU sites but it looked like a nice campground. All others as I recall were primitive.

we have stayed in Flaming Gorge several times. We stop there en route to Jackson Hole WY in August. We like the Firefighters Memorial Campground. Water and Dump station there, nicely located to explore the area.

We stay at Flaming Gorge Reservoir every year or two. We dry camp in a large group and always have plenty of room. We love to fish there.

We usually camp off of Anvil Draw Road which is just across the Utah border in Wyoming. Make sure you stop at the little store in Manila Utah to get a camping permit.
