On the last trip, the water heater was acting up. Sometimes it would light and sometimes not. After a check, found that the cermic around the ingnitor was cracked, so the spark was going to ground. A piece of electrical tape allow us to get throw the week end. This is the second time this has happen. I decided to order a new water heater. 6gals of hot water is not enogh. I order a Subruban S16DS, the door and the swilthch. This is a gas/electric water heater. Currently I am visiting my son and his family in another state. I left the C at home. I order the water heater and had it shipped to my daughters house. She lives in the same town. I wanted it there so when I get back next Sat. it would be there so I can install it before the next trip a couple weeks later. When it arrived the door box had been dropped and the corner of the flush mount door had been been bent, the paint was flaking off.BUMMER, The water heater also had been dropped on the the cornter bending the mounting flange. My concern was there is gas connections in the water heater and the tank is porcelain lined tank, may have cracked. BUMMER.
I call PPL MOtors the dealer I order the stuff from. Told the rep what had happened. Less that 3 minuter later, the issue was taken care of. A new water heater and ooor should arrive tomorrow. That is what I call SUPER GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Hope the new stuff arrives without any crushed corners.
