So quick recap - we recently traded our 2015 Nexus Phantom 28p at Camping World. During the trade in process Camping World told us that our Nexus was a 2014 instead of 2015 and as a result it was worth $2k less. Every paperwork we had stated 2015. Called Nexus and they did said they could not find our MSO but was sure it was a 2015 and that the DMV probably made a mistake. We filed the paperwork with the DMV to obtain the MSO and finally got it. The MSO Nexus sent to the DMV stated 2014.
We contacted Nexus again and sent them all the paperwork showing that the MSO said 2014 but all other paperwork said 2015. We told them we were out $2k because of this error and we were looking to recoup that loss.
Nexus response - we are going to send you a new MSO that states that it is a 2015. No apology that they made the error.
Is this even legal? Can you reissue a MSO with a new date?
It's possible but usually the standard is it has to be within two years. You're awfully close to the limit and manufacturers don't like to do it. My wife worked at the Wisconsin DMV for 33 years, so that's her experience.
