RE: 2000 Winnebago Minnie Winnie

I am at the COE park at Cochiti Lake near Santa Fe, NM

Early this morning the electricity cut off, but came back on shortly. I assumed it was the EMS PT30C doing its job. It cut off again and did not come back on. I checked the EMS at the electrical pedestal. All is normal. There are no error codes showing. The Winnebago handbook talks about a protective thermal breaker breaking the power to the converter section when overheating happens or when there is an obstruction of ventilation to the unit. The manual also indicates the thermal breaker will reset itself after a period of time. QUESTIONS: 1. Where do I find the converter section? 2. Is this a situation for an experienced Mobile Tech? 3. If so, can you recommend one in New Mexico or Arizona? THANKS.

The electricity came on about an hour ago. I plugged the coffee pot in as before and when I came back from walking the dog it was off again. That indicates to me a bad GFCI. The electricity is now off.

Mike, exactly which AC Outlets/Appliances don't work? My troubleshooting would be:

1. Temporarily bypass EMS

2. Cycle (all the way to Off, then back ON) all AC Circuit Breakers. You may have already done this as midnight suggested.

3. Hunt down any GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) devices (most of these are a wall outlet, and one usually protects several more) and press Test and Reset.

Usually the converter is in same location as the breaker panel.
Mine is under the fridge.

The breaker should have one for the converter.
There should be 12 volt fuses there Also.

THANKS. Don't have one in the bathroom...only in the kitchen area. I did have a heater and coffee pot plugged into that receptacle. What if the GFCI has gone bad. Could it overheat and shut off the electricity?

Look for GFI receptacle in the bathroom etc., and try resetting them.

Thanks for the reply. I have reset the breakers. I do not know where the converter is. Is there something to reset on it?
