No Power

Hi All,
Just got back from servicing the rig and decided to exercise the generator. Generator turns on put zero power. Nothing works- microwave, ac, dvd, the outlets, not even the in dash radio.- nothing.

Now at the shop, they did put a new clamp on a positve house battery connector cord. When I looked at the connection of the house battery things look good-yet when the generator is turned on, the battery is not being charged.

Any ideas where to look? I'd hate to bring it back to the shop.

Thanks for the ideas... Checked the genny and the culprit was the circuit switch... I never thought to look there first... I switched it on and suddenly there was power.

Does your rig have a transfer switch or does the shore power cord need to be plugged into an outlet the shore power entrance?

Check breakers on genny first. If they are OK then I agree - transfer switch is suspect.

When I plug into shore power all is good- outlets, fridge, microwave etc...
I also had the generator serviced too- oil change etc... now this happens.. I guess a phone call first thing Mon is in order.

Is this a continuation of your other electrical problem?
Are you connected to shore power? Disconnect from shore power and try again.
Check the circuit breakers on genset.
Before I think you had issue with shore power.
Check 12 volt fuses on your converter.
Check your main fuse in the 12 volt DC panel.
Use a test light or meter, do not just look at the fuses.
Rest 120 volt circuit breakers. Turn them all off applying light pressure toward off. Then turn on main circuit breaker, turn on branch breakers one at a time.
Sounds like you need to have the transfer switch checked.
