oil change frequency

My coach is a 1999 diesel pusher I bought new. Changed oil once a year every year. Coach has just over 100K. Thought I might go to once every two years as they are really expensive. I don't want to do them myself. Any thoughts??

If you go by the mileage and your going to end up changing long before the interval comes up, there is no harm in waiting.
The oil doesn't "go bad" and there really is no down side to it. This yearly stuff is a money making scheme just like the oil change places telling people to change the oil in new vehicles every 3K. It just isn't needed.
I change the oil in my Cummins about every 18~20 months because it takes that long to get to the mileage interval.
I have a buddy that does maint. on big rigs. He can see no reason for the mythical 12 month figure.
All JMHO of course.

Totally agree the Myth comes form the cummins manual where they say
XXX number of miles or annually All cummins manual say that and I believe that's when under warranty only suggestion

No problems what so ever been doing that on all vehicles for years
I go 3-4 years on my 26 quart ISL (12-14K miles)
A ISL can go 20K miles but I change way sooner
Lots of people say no but that's opinion; I actually do it and have for years; works well for me and that's all that matters

Go to Blackstone Labs and get a free test kit. The next time you change your oil get a sample and mail it to them and they will test it and send you a report back.

I would not do it.

If your travels take you near any Speedco location, you will not find they are expensive.
