We normally spend the night in Santa Rosa, N.M. on the way to Az.. I would like to find a park nearer, but outside, Albuquerque. Would welcome any info anyone could furnish.

The balloon fiesta is on this time of year in Albuquerque. You might have problems getting reservations on any RV park. But I have stayed right across from where the balloon fiesta is held at the Sandia Casino parking lot. Lots of room there. There will be lots of coaches, but plenty of space still available and at the same time enjoy the balloon fiesta.

American RV Park, on the west side of town is not too bad. It is fairly quiet and it is convenient to the interstate, Camping World, and to the Temperpedic factory, if you need a new mattress.

North of Albuquerque about 2 miles west of the interstate on Hwy 550 is Coronado state monument. It has a small RV park. Water and electric only. A mile or so further west is a casino and I have seen RV's park there. West on I-40 just over the first hill is another casino. Depends on what you want.

X2 on American RV Park. Nice place, clean, level, fair shade, off the main road, fairly quiet, close to lots of places to eat, and of course, it's across the highway from Camping World for your needs.
