Drivers side rear jack won't go down, changed brake and motor still no go,will go up and down on 12 volt battery hookup. 2008 fleetwood discovery . At wits end . This is the 3rd time with this jack, both other times it took a new brake and sealant to fix. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. No help from power jack.
The instructions from power gear will inform you how to recalibrate the jack. If it works with 12 volts I am guessing they are need to be calibrated. These levelers are problamatic and most of the problem comes from the internal brake that get corroded. I know because I have the same jacks on my 2007 Discovery. The seal kit is available on Fleetwoods web site.
Couple of things to check, which you may already have done. Find your control box , mine was by entry door behind the slide, check all connection. Actually pull them out, I had a loose connection and it cause the jack to become nonoperational. Second if haven't already done so, run all the jacks down including the one not working, to where the magnets clear and reset the control panel. Good luck.
