Can anyone who has personal buying experience at PPL give me a referral on who is a good salesperson to talk to about buying a motorhome there? Thanks!

I'll give them a thumbs up.
I bought a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder at PPL in Houston this past November. Our salesperson was Amy Jonas.

The good thing about them is they give you a map. All the DP's are together, tt's together class A's together etc. They leave you alone to shop. Every RV has a stack of stat/spec sheets. If you find something you like, you pick up a sheet, take it inside. They'll go over it with you.

They are a consignment lot. Look them over carefully, they don't really look them over when they're taken in. They just do a quick appraisal of them & help the seller price it accordingly.

They work a lot like a real estate agent.
That's the buying story. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now the selling story.:)
After I got the Bounder home. I tried selling my 2000 Fleetwood Southwind myself. I had it on craigslist for about 2 months. Not one single call.
I took it to PPL in Houston. They did their appraisal, we agreed on a starting price, and a minimum. They sold it the first weekend it was there. We counter offered a few times, in the end, I got just within a very few dollars of what I really wanted in the first place. There were a couple of issues that needed to be repaired on it for the new owner. I feel they were more than fair with the cost of the repairs.
Just found out today, they mailed me a check for mine yesterday.:B

So, overall, buying & selling......I think they're top notch.
Keep in mind though....They're not selling it......You're buying it.

You'll get assigned to a sales person round-robin. These are commissioned sales people and they get paid to sell RVs, not be consumer advocates.

I've shopped there before for diesel pushers. When I went, I'd say that MOST of them were not as described on the website - meaning non-smoking with cigarette holes and ozone treatment. Very Good condition with interior water damage, etc.

You need to put a refundable purchase contract in to be able to have them fully system tested and I believe they charge for the privilege.

I'm not saying it's a bad place to shop, but it IS a consignment shop. You need to be selective. Sometimes they do have records for some of their coaches.

I can't comment about rv sales, but I recently bought a satellite setup from them, and it went on sale a week later. They honored the new price without question...shipping was fast and I think they are a first rate company. Best of luck with the purchase!

You'll be hiking them soon based upon my skiing experience today...season about done :).
