I did this job a couple of years ago. I found that acetone worked best to remove the residual glue. I did, however, have a couple of decals under the film, so I used polishing compound and a lot of elbow grease to remove the glue on those decals.

The acetone left the paint clean and shining with no damage.

$150 and 6 hours tells you how cheap and poorly attached film Winnebago uses.
Since you have a Winnagago I'd give the # above a call. Took more than 8 hours to remove just the film using a heat gun and plastic razor blades.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

I had the film removed by CDI, the paint contractor for Winnebago in Forest City, IA. I would contact Dave at dave_cdi@wctatel.net or call (641) 585-5900. He might tell you what they use. I was in and out in less than 6 hours. $150. Great job.

Goof Off or GooGone. Both work as well as can be expected, won't hurt the paint but both take a lot of elbow grease....good luck...Dennis
