On our way to Coeur D'Alene for a Grandson's graduation and saw several of the Platinum XLs...Wife really feel in love with them..
DO NOT like Ford but wondering about about the Platinum reputation with either Ford or Mercedes...Have zero knowledge of the Mercedes diesel. How are the Ford powertrains on something 2004-2005 or newer? Real curious to hear feedback.
Thank you

We have 2 years of experience with 2014 Jayco Melbourne 29D with Ford E-450, which has performed flawlessly. Very impressive. Does lose some power at high altitudes, mountain driving, but that is the only negative I have seen. Also, most Ford dealers will refuse to service it - even routine oil changes. Happily, it may need very little service.
