Shower heads

I attended the Winnebago Grand National Rally in Iowa recently and went to a seminar given by Bob Livingston(RV guru). He mentioned that there is a shower head on the market that not only conserves water, but increases the spray pressure. I knew I wrote it down, but for the life of me can't find/or remember the name. Any help greatly appreciated......

I installed one this summer and do like it. The problem I have is when I shut it off and it goes to trickle the water goes cold. My first one I had did that in my last coach. This time I replaced the shut-off valve. Here's what happens - most people run full cold and add hot water to the mix for the "right" temperature. When the shut-off valve allows a small amount of water to flow (drips) the hot to cold water ratio changes. The hose fills with cold water. Once you open the valve and the cold water exits the hose and you're back to the original hot/cold mix.

To me, the leaky shut-off on the Oxygenics defeats the purpose of having a shut-off that allows you to stop the water momentarily and turn it back on without adjusting the hot/cold mixture. When I bought the new head in Quartzsite the vendor was well aware of the problem and replacement screw-on shut-off valves on hand.

We've had one for two years now and love it. Best money ever spent on a shower head.

They DO NOT save water. I have had this shower head in my last 4 RVs. Why do they not save water? Because they provide such an enjoyable massage type shower experience that I just double my time in the shower.

I love the Oxygenics shower. Just took a shower the last 4 mornings with my Oxygenics while I am working at my remote office in Nebraska.

I called the manufacturer about the drip when I installed my first one. They replied the drip prevents that super hot or super cold return to spray after using the shutoff.

It has nothing to do with the shower head. It just puts out what it gets from your system. I've had the oxyegnics in 4 different RVs and they all went a little cold on trickle as did the stock heads.

If I had to guess, I bet you have a water mixing valve on the water heater. When you shut the water conservation valve on the shower head, it does not allow for proper water flow to allow the mixing valve to regulate the temperature properly, and therefore going cold. When you open the conservation valve to normal flow, the mixing will have enough flow to then regulate the temperature properly. Additionally, the cold water line to the shower has less restriction than the hot water. When the flow is real low, as in the trickle you get when you close the conservation valve, more cold water will pass through than hot and therefore making the water coming down the trickle to be colder. Hopefully this makes some sense.

I too read all the great reviews about the oxygenics shower head. I had a little doubt, but figured all those hunderds of people can't be wrong. I bought one a few weeks ago and I am completely pleased. It does what it says it does.

Oxygenics for us too! It uses less water and the design infuses air and makes it seem like it's spraying the water harder.

This is what I bought. The nice thing is that it keeps dripping when you stop it, you can almost shower by the drop.
