Small steel wires protruding from rear bag rr10

Discovered small pieces of wire in the side of one rear air spring. They don't pull out. Do Firestone bags have steel wire in them like tires? No leaks, but maybe the bag is failing. Recently had a blowout (GY) on that axle, but the wires are all around the surface of the bag. They are <1/2" long and are like spring steel piano wire.

Those are pieces of the steel belt from the tire thant blew out. And yes, you should have that air bag replaced ASAP.

I would e-mail or call Firestone. Maybe e-mail them pictures. They may replace them free.

Regardless of the cause or origin, replace the bag before you have a catastrophic failure
