Southwind blowing cold air out left side defrost vent

2002 Southwind (Workhorse Chassis) that is blowing cold air out the driver's side defrost vent all of the time.

All the controls work normally. I can get heat or cool air thru the dash vents and the bi level works as well.

Finally put a blanket over the vent.

I can track the hose thru the firewall and I think I can feel it under the dash but there is not enough room over the doghouse to look to see where it goes.

I read a post from about 5 years ago where someone was having the same issue on a Bounder. He said the service people thought he was crazy. He never posted if he ever found the problem.

Any ideas?

18 year old vacuum hoses tend to leak.
