Squeak Noise Rubber Seal Cab Chassis ?

Anybody else have that squeak dry rubber etching noise ?
Setting in the drivers seat the piller/panel where the seat belt is bolted to I have been able to pull the panel back abit and spray some WD40 with the little red tube and get it to quite down , but then it comes back.
We have an 2001 Gulf Stream Conquest Sport 22ft on the Chevy Chassis.

We just went today and test drove a 2013 Nexis Phantom with 10,500 miles. 23ft on a Ford Chassis and the same noise coming from the same area !
We went to another RV place and drove a 2010 Coachman Freelander 21 with 4,300 miles on a Chevy chassis. It didn't make any noise from that area at all...

So is anybody else getting the squeaky noise ?

Hope I'm describing it right...

Wait, try this first. If your talking about the annoying squeek eminating from the seat belt retraction area, on my C it was the rubber seal installed during assembly between the metal cab and the "house" and or body. Take a good silicone spray with straw applicator and holding the end of the straw, insert the tip past the outer seal point, squeeze the nozzle and pull it down the length of the seal on both sides. Test drive it and tell us if it cured the issue.

Its not coming from the door seal , its coming from up inside behind the panel where the seatbelt is bolted through . Where the coach seals to the van chassis..

Also to clarify that it was not coming from the door / door seal, when we first started guessing where it was coming from we drove with the doors open and the noise was still there 😞

I had the same problem on my coach entrance door, first I tried spray white lithium grease but it didn't last long. Next came the Vaseline, it lasted a little longer but after cleaning that off carefully, I tore a half inch strip of duct tape and put it on the metal door edge. Problem solved, I wonder if replacing the door seal would work?

If it squeaks, the item is still there. If it stops squeaking, it fell off --- that's when to worry.

Thanks for the replies !Looks like it will be ; remove the drivers seat , then remove the seat belt anchor bolt and then remove the whole panel to see if I can actually see anything obvious ? I know when we (the DW and I) one of us could kinda bounce around up and down and get it to make the noise and the other just kinda sprayed at will blindly and it quit for awhile, but now its back with a vengeance !....

I removed a speaker panel and located where some shelving was fastened to some other wood frames. i used "great stuff" the spray foam very sparingly as it

expands and the squeak went away. Brake fluid removes paint so be careful with that. Silicone spray also a good choice.

Instead of WD40 try using a white grease spry. WD40 is a penetrate and is probably soaking into or dispersing into the wood/metal. The white grease spray will go into the same areas and thicken into an actual grease consistency.

On my rig the squeaks went away when I had to repair/replace the luan covering the plywood in the cabover area. I suppose the squeak was the result of flexing between luan and plywood (not sure).

Depends what is producing the noise, but I use Shin-etsu grease on door seals to help eliminate the squeaks from dry rubber on the metal door frames. May help in your situation once you track down the source of the squeak. Just did this to my wife's 2001 Lexus and it is quiet as a mouse again.

I have not driven a lot of class C's. My GS has those squeaks. Nexus is being managed by some Ex GS people. What I can say is I do not have any leaks.

I don't know your particular situation but I've used brake fluid to stop rubber squeaks. Maybe put some in one of those pump oil cans to squirt it. Be sure it doesn't come in contact with plastic. Good luck..

I would if I knew where to stick it..lol No pun intended there... I can't see up inside the metal boxed in area behind the panel.. Did you have this problem and fixed it by doing that?
