Tandem towing behind class A

Rvmoretti

We are trying to find a solution to tow our two full-size Harley Street glide's and a car behind our class A RV. We do want not want a large enclosed trailer. Something easier to deal with once we reach our campsites.

Street Glides are 96, trailers are 102 wide. Why not have someone drive the car down for you if you are staying the winter.

We tow a 24' car trailer that holds two Harley's and a keep liberty. You can see it in our signature

A stacker trailer will allow you tow more toys with less length.

When we winter in Arizona we haul our Honda CRV, and Polaris xp1000 RZR on a 24 ft car hauler open trailer. The RZR is between 9-10 ft long.:)

You can take a look at Tandem Tow Dollies for that job. We have the same problem and just take either the toad or the bikes depending on when and where we are going. We can rent a Harley almost anywhere if we have the toad.

Towing two trailers isn't legal in your state or adjoining states. I'd love to do it in VA but it isn't legal here either. In VA if you get stopped with two trailers you are not allowed to proceed. You have to leave 1 by the side of the road or call a tow company to get it for you.
I would just put everything on a flatbed.

Sounds like a bad idea to me for several reasons. Lots of weight for 1.

Even where double towing is allowed the first trailer behind the tow vehicle has to be a 5er in NM and most other states that allow it or you have to have one of those "hitch hogs" in the mix like the semi tractors use to tow tandem.

Welcome to the forums. It would help if you put your rig in your signature. The states that allow double towing often require a fifth wheel hitch on the front tow...not something you will find behind a MH very often. A max of 65' is the norm in the East so you will likely be over that length. At 800+ lbs each putting them on a lift behind a MH would only be possible with a tag axle coach.
Good luck as you're going to need it but 96" is only 8' so you could put them on a trailer sideways.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Street Glides are 96" long, so I don't think they will fit a trailer sideways, the way I see it you need a trailer long enough that will fit both the car and the bikes, I know this isn't your preference, but it will be your best option, I know several people that have this set up.
Good Luck with whatever you choose.
