tire pressure

On Michelon 235/80R225 XRV, it lists maximum weight as 4675 lbs. is this per tire or axle? In other words can the front axle weigh a maximum of 4675 or 9350? Or something else I'm not thinking of?

X2 although I travel when there is a strong cross wind which shifts a lot of weight to the down wind side...I go 5 over. Even then the down wind tires get a little hotter than normal...20-30 degrees hotter than the up wind tires.

Some tire load charts list the total axle weight for 2 & 4 tires adding to the confusion.

It is per tire. Dual tires the rating does not double.

Lowering the tire pressure to give a better ride may adversely affect mileage.

Per tire, but take notice that it's not as much for dual's.
Again with tires and IMO, add 10-15psi to take care of all the variables and for whatever the ambient temp. might be on the days that you air them up. Just be sure that it's cold pressure and meaning that the rig hasn't been driven for awhile.

ON the tire is the MAX Load Rating at MAX PSI
Max Load Rating is per tire.

On your MH you will have:
GVWR---MAX Total Weight of rig
GAWR---One for front axle and one for rear axle-----MAX Weight n each
GCVWR--MAX Total weight of rig and toad

Ratings are per tire. So a 2 tire axle could be rated double that.
