Tires for Tow Vehicle

I pull a 2007 Saturn Vue. Currently I have General Grabbers on it, but don't really like them. When I'm driving the car they seem to squeal and slip more than other tires I've had. What tires are on your tow car? Are there any issues with them when you are driving the car?

My local tire company was pushing Falken tires. I was rejecting this advice because they were made in Thailand by a Japanese company. Maybe I'll re-visit their offer. A CR-V and a Saturn Vue seem to be very similar.

I'd like to go with Cooper tires but they seem to have discontinued tires for an SUV like the Vue. On my main driving car, I think the Cooper Touring are really good.

Sears has been pushing the BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Tour. I notice no one has mentioned them as a good tire for towing a Vue.

I just put a set of Falken tires on my CR-V. My research says they are a decent brand, less expensive than Michelin or Goodyear. The specific tires I purchased were made in Thailand. Falken is a brand of Sumitomo, a Japanese company.

I had general grabber tires on a jeep liberty that we previously towed and thought they seemed like pretty good tires. Never any problem. That was my one time stray from Michelin which I have on every vehicle after the tires that the factory put on a new vehicle wear out.

My tow vehicle is also my home use car. Original equipment Michelins or their most recent update is all I will use. This goes for my pickup and the Bounder as well.
