Transmission oil change in Cummins ISB 5.7 diesel

How difficult is it to change the transmission oil and filter in a Cummins ISB 5.7 275 hp diesel? Know I should also change the filter. Also, where is the transmission filter located. Saw some information it is in the pan. Is that a simple task and will I have to replace a gasket?

Thanks for feedback.

What transmission do you have-- the Allison 3000 has two internal filters, the 2000 series has one external one.

You will need an inch-lb torque wrench to properly torque the filter bases.

Sound like you don't know what your doing.
so if i was you take it to a tranny shop and have them change the oil/filter and set the bands.
you will be money ahead

OK The Cummins 5.9 ISB is your engine. Perhaps you mean the Allison Transmission (which of course is not a Cummins product)? :S
