V10 spins, will not crank...part II

Ok, fixed my self inflicted problem. Yes, it was a pinched fuel hose that I had looked at at leat 4 times. With a fresh start this AM started over checking everything I had done. The Hellwig supplied nut to hold the L bracket is a piece of 9/32 x4x2 threaded steel plate. There are 3(2 metal,1 rubber) fuel hoses, a parking brake cable and 3 wiring harnesses in front of where this "nut" goes running thru the C channel frame. I had pinched the rubber fuel hose when tighten this plate. Will give Ford a nod for their hose choice. Hose poped back into shape when freed from the pinch. Will be watching this area closely for leaks. Put everything back that I had disconnected chasing the problem and took a short 5 mile loop. Thanks for all of the looks and comments.

Thanks for the update. BTW the red position indicator on an F-53 is adjustable to line it up correctly or at least on mine it is.

I think the starting in any position is my red gear shift indicator not lining up exactly over the PRND12. It now appears that it only ignites in the P&N range.

You also had a problem with it starting in any gear position, have you solved that problem also? Just wondering.

Glad you got it going.

You have a vocabulary problem that if you fix it, it will help others help you. I have done a lot of long distance diagnosis and this is not nearly a unique issue with you. Please read and remember the following:
Doesn't crank means that you hit the start and nothing at all happens.
(Hit the key and it goes "click, or click, click" - bad battery or connections.)
Cranks but does not start means the starter motor is turning the engine over, but it will not start or even fire.
Starts, but will not run, means that the engine will start, but quits shortly after you let go the key.
The above three are all very different cases and have different causes.

Other than those.
If the coach makes noise moving, try to determine if the noise is engine speed or road speed related.
If the brakes make noise, the above still counts, but does the noise get louder with more brake pressure.

Any of these will help you get a better and more applicable answer.

I am an engine guy and have been for years. I didn't contribute before because I couldn't figure out what you were trying to say in the time I had available to read ans answer you.
