Weldex tft lcd 6.8 inch backup camera

This sysyem came with my 2006 travel supreme motorhome. It cuts in and out, works fine for several hours thengoes blank, then starts working. Sometimes i turn it of then right back on and works ok sometimes not. Any help appreciated. I think it might be just the monitor needs replacing. Anyone know where to get just a replacement monitor??

I have been told the Weldex units have been known to over-heat
and fail. Is that your experience?

Which brand did you install? Still like it?

How did you mount it, flush or surface mount?

I was able get my hand behind mine and pushed the cable into the monitor. Has worked for 5 years. Might work for you. Vibration loosened the connection.

Had the same problem with mines.Got sick and tired of that monitor.Brought one from ebay 2years ago and that best thing I could do take care of that issue.I think that what you need to do.

I have replaced 3 Weldex monitors. When installing the last one, I added a 12 volt 2 inch square muffin fan the blows up on the back corner where the power supply is located. Been 2 years and still working. Longest time so far.

I have the same system, mine quit working sent in to http://www.rvcams.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=WDRV-7063M-UPGD
and they tested it works fine. Got it back worked then back to the same thing, works foe a while then off for a while. The down side is I run my Silverleaf through it so when it quits working everything is off. I'm about ready for a new system.

We had some of the same difficulties with a Weldex and ended up replacing it, only it was a crt model. I think they had some difficulty with poor soldering of the boards and components. The place to go for help is RV Cams clicky and they will be able to help diagnose and solve your problem. They are highly spoke of on here. Hope this may help, Happy Trails Bert
