cleaned out a rats nest under the console!

Cleaning batteries, taking hydrometer readings, logging the readings and adding water to cells. I think our batteries are orginal. That would make them nearly 9 years old. They stay on the charger nearly all the time we are not traveling.

Yesterday I went to the storage and fired up the generator to run the AC for a while per Onan owner's manual. Decided it was a nice day for a drive so pulled it out and drove for 45 minutes to warm everything up and be sure all the running gear is working. Been in storage since May 1. Not getting out again until Nov 15 or so - then we be gone for nine months, give or take.

We have not stayed put this long in years, certainly not since 2001 when we bought our first coach. I get to go out with new eyes (cataract surgery both eyes) and no business left behind (retired by then).

Carried on with ongoing painting of chassis and undertay,took nearly an hour to get all the black paint off me!

Yesterday, I FINALLY completed the fix on the 7.5 Onan generator (I hope). Today, I go back to working on the Norcold 1200 frige (still deciding which cooling unit to order).
After the big stuff, I'll start on the little stuff.

Picked up coach from shop yesterday, had new exhaust manifold put on, the other was cracked. Today ripped out carpet in living area, started installing laminate. Did the bedroom last week, looks good. Will finish the floor tomorrow.

Scrubbed sewer and water bay with pine sol to get rid of stench that was infiltrating the entire coach when I opened up the windows.

I am sanitizing the fresh water tank (bleach) in preperation of a trip next week.
