I had to adjust one of the compartment door locks. Took about 15 minutes. Other then that, I am enjoying my trip to Desert Hot Springs. The weather has been great.

Rearranged the storage bays, washed the bugs off the windshield, vacuumed the floor, cleaned out the shower that somehow had turned into a storage unit after the last trip, and ran the genny. Getting ready for the Big Western Advenure.

Where is the Big Western Adventure? Ours will be Yellowstone for the first time.

Going from Florida to Seattle, WA to see my son and my sister in Moab, UT while trying to see as many National Parks and waterfalls along the way. Yellowstone is one of them. We're taking 4-5 months and know there will lots of zig zags and detours as we have no reservations but also no real time restraints. This is our first BIG trip. Prior to this we've only been gone a maximum of 2 weeks, if that. We have two dogs so if I keep a journal I'm calling it "Tales and Trails of the Traveling Tails." I'm getting very excitied as we plan to leave in early May. When are you heading out?

Late July for Yellowstone.(Fishing Bridge has no electric, but were going away)I have almost 20 years til retirement. I love hearing about people living the dream that we have. Have fun, Be safe, take pictures and post them.

We rolled in the awning, pulled in the slide, released the jacks and came home. Stopped at the service station and put $100 worth of fuel in her for the next trip. DW cleaned everything like she always does so she is ready to go again with little prep. She is backed into her spot all leveled and powered up until next trip in 3 weeks.

Hate to admit it, drove off with my power cord still hooked up to the pedestal. Not to cool but no damage. That's what happens when you change your normal routine.

Well I woke her out of hibernation today for her annual spring 40 mile run. A little snow is still on the mountains. The 5 and 6% spring trails were all open to exercise the trany, exhaust break, and other essential systems. This was after replacing the 8 year old starter batteries, checking all the tire pressure, repairing and fixing a rattle in the dash. The engine fired right up in less than 10 seconds. Everything worked just like it did when she went to sleep in the fall.

Changed the oil & filters. I got sick of over paying under qualified people to do 1/2 the work, so a trip to Sams Club for some Rotella and a few clicks at filterbarn.com and the job is done. I know it's done right and I saved a few bucks too - and enjoyed myself. All-in-all a good day. :B
