Installed LED awning lights over the weekend. Then I saw this idea for installing a wireless keyring on/off switch. Ordered the doodad to do it today. Dont you love when a project spawns more projects?

I'm still trying to figure out a way to air my inner tires without removing the outer tire. I'm also trying to guestamate at the correct air pressure for these doubecoin tires. the tire data is M (82) speed rated single 3500 @110psi and dual 3070@100psi. this is interesting since accuride rims are rated at 90 psi. 8r19.5 RT500 tires. I currently have them on 70 and after a 250 mile run, they were barely warm to the touch. about 30 degrees over ambient of 72. Is tire temperature any kind of measure of the pressure/load correctness? I know the first or second post will be to have each corrner weighed and consult the pressure chart for that tire. Short of that anything else is a shot in the dark I realize. comments or suggestions welcome

They do sell braided air lines for extensions from the inner tires. I have them on my coach and they work pretty good.

Changed out the monster TV, to a 32 inch led flat screen. Fit nice and a lot lighter in the overhead compartment..

Took it in to have a Safe-T-Plus steering setup done. After that we kept moving more of our stuff in, to get ready to hit the road.

We did the same thing. And swapped out the 12volt "marine/rv deep cycle" house batteries for true deep cycle 6volt Trojan T105 batteries. Dealer gave us full retail price credit on the 12volt batteries toward the purchase of the Trojans. Sweet deal.

Currently snowing like crazy. 8" are supposed to come down over night. Put the snow plow back onto the tractor to be able to keep a path to the motorhome open.

Replaced the power steering gear box on our 2005 thats on a 2004 ford f53 chassis. Could not get the excess play out of the old one. Hope this one is better. Could turn the steering wheel and it would turn the shaft on top of the gear box but would not turn the down arm until the wheel moved about a inch and a half.

Installed a safe under the bed.

The bed is in a slide. The bottom 1/2 or foot of the bed is hinged with a storage area underneath. The top 1/2 is fixed and the area below contains electrical and slide machinery.

Removed the mattress and then the OSB board under it to expose both sides of the storage wall that divides the storage area from the mechanical area. My intention was to attach the safe to the petition.

I discovered the petition was framed with 2 X 4 studs but the wall was 1/8 wood panel. The bolt holes in the safe did not line up with the framing.(anyone suprised?) Nothing to attach the safe to.

I pondered solutions for awhile then installed extra 2 X 4 framing behind the panel and this allowed me to lag bolt the safe to solid framing. The safe is solidly attached and can't be moved without determined effort and lots of noise.

Put everything back together and it all looks great, the new framing is hidden in the machinery compartment and nothing got broke or damaged in the process.

Total time: 2 hours (only because I had some new 2 X 4's available at home)

Lessons learned:

1. The mattress is heavy, and flexible making it hard to handle. I should have asked for help.
2. Don't attempt this with the slide in. The bedroom is a cramped space when not in full extension mode. Ask me how I know!
3. Most important -- don't drill and make dust or set dirty tools on the bedding stored under the bed or DW will find it hard to be complimentary on the completion of the project
