I see the other types of RV's having this type of thread. I did a search and could not find one here. 🙂

Yesterday, I drove mine to work to "excercise" it. I have driven it to work twice in the two weeks I have owned it.

In the two years I owned my Class C, I drove it to work ZERO times. :E

Great time to be going. We left the east coast late August and by September when we got to AK it was empty and we could pick any spot we wanted. Enjoy!

That is one of the best times to come. It is possible that we will cross paths. Might need to go outside at that time.

Put on the rear cargo rack for a camping trip this weekend. In the 8 years I have owned it, this will be the first time I have taken it to a campground hookup. Have only boon docked in it.

Trying to get the fridge to cool. Is it the higher the number (1-7) the more cold it is supposed to get?

It seems like the setting 7 is where the coldest is at. The fridge cooled down today. It is not ice cold but I am not expecting much from a 30 year old RV fridge.

Sweet cargo rack Goreds! Have a great trip!!

Spent sometime getting our new to us 1999 Jayco B ready for a test trip.

Discovered the sink drain was partially plugged and managed to get it cleaned out. This is fairly minimalist so it doesn't have a gray water tank you're suppose to put a bucket underneath, so I was measuring to see if I could put in a small tank. Pretty limited fore space but I would be happy with 4-5 gallon. Found a place that I can put about 4 feet of 6" pipe which would give 5 gallons or so and a place for a square tank that is in a better location if I could find something appropriate about 12"X12"X8" which would also get me about 5 gallons. No luck finding small plastic tanks yet.

Also flushed the fresh water tank and re-filled and chlorinated. I will leave it a few days while I drive it to get it good and disinfected.

Drove it to work yesterday. Lunchtime, I went out to the van, ate and watched some Jerry Springer on the TV. Not sure why I watched but could not change the channel. :E

I bought this tire cover recently and I think this gives it a cleaner look. Just a simple cover for less than ten bucks.

Hi new to forum. I see this hasn't been updated in a long time. I have spentthe lady two years working on my old xplorer 260Dodge. Today I finished restoring my hot water heater. 42 years old and still going. Replaced the element, thermostat, pressure relief valve. Works great. Also loved upthe faucet orings with silicone grease. No drips. Also installed a new bank top maker light and sanded and primed a patch I made last year.

Goreds2,

He is going to have to replace the lines as well because they would not seal to the new parts. Hope to hear from him today how its going and the final cost.

UPDATE: I just got it back & he did not have to replace the lines, just the seals. It's blowing nice and cold. Out the door at $1125.
That is great. Enjoy!

Goreds,
The mechanic said the compressor is bad and has ordered it. Hope he does it right & to have it back tomorrow. Not cheap, $1,125, but that's a lot less than at the dealer.
That is not too bad especially since you are not going to the dealer. I hope that fixes it. Will be worth it in my opinion.

I drove my van to work yesterday. The dash Air Conditioner seemed to work better and better throughout the trip. Maybe it just needed exercised. Fingers crossed for mine.
