Floor looks great! Removed the fabric covered dinette seat ends and I made wood ends and stained them to match the interior trim. Much more elegant looking.
Just need to redo the window valances. DW needs to find fabric that matches the new dinette cushions that she liked as soon as she saw them.(dealer had them on clearance - new in bags $35)
We put a slip cover on the sofa for now. We'll get it redone once she picks out the fabric for the windows and it.

Like Eastwacamper, we have been known to shop at yard sales, and have gotten some really nice items.
Checked the air in the tires this morning, been a long time since I did that. Thats because its been a very expensive yard ornament. But that is changing. My youngest sister is practicing drving the C around town, and when she feels ready off we will go.Had a set of keys made for the sister, and will give them to her today.

Roy and Lynne, shopping in the back yard. A yard sale, for sure. We buy chairs, spoons and all the rest from the mh as the need arises.

Called to arrange oil change. Also need to figure out why one wheel squeaks. Maybe repair shop or maybe tire shop will be next stop.

Figured out why the reefer (refridgerator for non Navy folks) wasn't working on gas and fixed it. The problem was corroded contacts on the solenoid controlling the gas valve.

Hi,

Drove from Stoney Nakoda Casino to pick up my daughter and her boyfriend.

Taking a break using a Telus data stick and a Mofi router, to check emails.

I'm laying on the couch with an inverter powered fan blowing on me--while cooking supper in an inverter powered slow cooker.

I wonder why I even consider having a generator?

Hi TreeSeeker,

I added a 2nd battery bank (500 additional amp-hours). I added a 2nd wire from the engine charging circuit to that bank. I can charge one bank while using the other, or I can use and charge both at the same time. I can do the same with the solar charging output.

The two battery banks can be "strapped" together via the heavy duty manual switches for my inverter.

I get about 70 amps maximum from the two charging circuits. The OEM maxes out at about 30 amps and the add on at about 40 amps.

They will also act as a "poor man's boost system". If I turn on the ignition energy will flow from the house battery bank and solar panels into the engine battery.

I chose to have heavy duty solenoids that have 50 amp automatic circuit breakers on them.

Please expound, what do you mean by a "second charging circuit?"

Hi blackfyreterv,

I should have mentioned that there are 12 volt slow cookers. They work quite well.

Hi,

I use an inverter. Slow cookers don't draw a lot of power--a 400 watt inverter would be plenty for mine (278 watts measured)

I have added a second charging circuit--so basically the house batteries remain untouched when I'm driving.

OK do you run the generator to run the slowcooker or do you use an inverter and if so what size? this sounds like a wonderful idea ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi,

Slow cooked a pork roast and dressing as I trundled through the Mountains from Invermere to Airdrie.

It was so nice to arrive and have dinner ready to eat.
