This is always a fun thread to watch in other forums, so I thought I'd start one here.

Hi,

I thought the V-10 started in 1999? Is it an E 350 (not 360)?

I did belts and hoses on mine as soon as I got it, too. You may wish to add getting the brake fluid replaced.

I have been ordering upgrades and stacking them since winter started to install this spring in our new to us 1998 Four Winds 5000 23rk V-10 E-350 with 36K. Upgrades:Kenwood radio with XM, backup camera, converter upgrade form Parallax to Progressive Dynamics. Next to order high-profile toilet, then hoses and belt replacement, then shocks and alignment. Since it is new to us we want a fresh start to a 15 year old chassis.

Ours had a system in it new.. still has the surround sound speakers in the ceiling. The first owner thought it was good enough for home use I guess. Ours will be fairly simple to use. Do you have the amplifier for the antenna turned on?

re: " Would like to put in a DVD and sound system not sure if I'll mess with at this point. "

we've got a first rate system the prior owner installed but having trouble figuring out how to run it....

went to a local TV repair shop & he got channels to show just fine, back home it's on "no signal" again.

In spite of reading the instruction manual I continue to remain befuddled with 3 remotes & various peripherals.

Considering generally we always used to dry-camp, even having shore power was luxury. Now on board 4KW real luxury. At lease we figured out how to run the coffee maker!

Let's see in the last couple days..
-Washed it really good and gave it a good rinse underneath.. hopefully get rid of all the salt!
-Changed to oil to Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 and PF61E
-Drained the refilled the radiator.. no drain plug go figure!
-Moved the back fold up table for the tv up to the kitchen area.
-Ordered the TV mount.. should get that done this weekend. It'll take longer on the wire management than the mount. Would like to put in a DVD and sound system not sure if I'll mess with at this point.

Looking at putting up a coat rack and more towel racks in the rear. Ready to go back to work for a break!

Added sea foam, fill up with gas and drove around and ran generator under load for about an hour. Also making some 2 x 12 blocks drive up on while stored outside. I plan to start and drive regularly during winter.

Add a modest solar system and add a trik-l-start.

went to start it for the month run and it was dead again. Some sort of sneak circuit. I disconnected the coach feed to the batteries, but i don't think that's the problem.this time. something in the main harness. 2012 ford 350.

Hi,

Ordered Magic Carpet for the oh so cold floors. This is carbon fiber based and I should have about 750 watts of heat on the "aisle" and under the dinette. I'll probably end up adding some sort of thermostat. It does 85 btu's per square foot.

Put the new cover on it. We finished just as the snow started to fall. We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground so far today.

I was trying to check out my B+ but the lock was frozen yesterday despite a small electric space heater used before in our TT.

We've been in the single digits most of the last 3 days.

Hi,

Thawed the side door lock and lubricated it. Hopefully that will keep me from having to use the front doors for entry and exit.

Hi,

Picked it up and drove it to the nearest campground. Plugged in all three shore power cords to see if I could warm it up using only electricity. For results see my thread here:
