Where to add house battery?

I'm looking to add a second 12v house battery to our '93 23'6" Tioga Montara. Currently it has just one, located under the upper entry step. Anyone have a similar rig mind telling me what they did? Thanks!

Maybe there is space in cabinet under the sink if it's near the existing battery. Connect batteries in PARALEL to double capacity, using long standard battery cables. Observe polarity when connecting. Probably need to have holes for ventilation underneath extra battery.

Only have one, and space for one, 12v under the step.

My 09 Cambria had just one 12v. I went to 2 six volt deep cycle Trojan batteries in a series in the same holder and increased my storage capacity dramatically. Read up on battery amp hours and such and see what works for you. The lesser priced batteries tend to have less storage capacity.

Oo, I'll have to get some measurements on the 6v to see what I can fit in there. Give you enough juice for boondocking (+solar)?
