I have a Well used 1999 Fleetwood Jamboree. The previous owner should have never touched this thing, they let a battery blow up in the stowage. He used a starting battery and it popped leaving a mess. I bought it not realizing how BAD the fuse block and everything else had rotted away in the battery box. Soooo I am in the process of complete rebuild. I have emailed Fleetwood a few times asking about a wiring diagram with color codes. I have figured a few of the wires out but am failing miserably on a few and cannot trace them out to what they are. Does anybody have a wiring diagram showing color codes. I have searched the net and found nothing for this.
When I bought it I had seen the battery had blown up and gotten everywhere. I thought ehh fixed many things before this cant do much damage to my morale. Got it home pulled the remains of the old battery out and the wires on everything basically broke off the fuse block. I have 5 out of 15 left to figure out and don't dare power up anything till I have it all traced out to make me happy.
That's the kind of DIY electrical mess we found in our first old used Higgins Delta Class C. The previous owners were second or third owners whose "genius" son did wiring and other "fixes". When we tried to have it smog tested we found that smog equipment was missing entirely. Then new looking tires blew and came apart, it overheated, etc., t'was a learning experience for us.
I have been working on vehicles and wired many houses over 35 years. This is my first RV experience. But for the most part easy to do except blind wires going nowhere and NO color standard. No wiring diagram yet, I will get it posted if I can whenever I do get one.
Did Fleetwood give you wiring diagrams? The ones I got for my 2004 Tioga weren't very helpful. You are in for an adventure fixing old DIY fixes. If you are not savvy about RV 12vdc and 110vac wiring, maybe find a good RV electrician. I once found a good one who ran an automotive electrical service.
I Googled "1999 Fleetwood Jamboree wiring diagrams" and got many hits. I suspect you will find one that fits if you start looking at all of them and pick which one fits the best....
