Just read about ging to the wrong pump in Arizona at truck stops. If you have 3 axels or over 26,000 lbs rig and your diesel. Fine is 1000 dollars if you use the car pumps.

Unsigned letter. No letterhead. Addressing Mr. L... and stating if you own a motorhome. Does this apply to me also?

If you don't already have one, you can get a free Dropbox account HERE, upload the file to the Public folder and then post a link to that file here. Then anyone that wants the file can download it.

I don't think attachments will work on here. You would have to convert it to a jpeg or a bmp and post it to photobucket or a site like that and link it here.

Yes, as you read my post, I am also concerned with this and that is why I am requesting this in black and white from Mark Zimmerman who is the head of The Revenue and Fuel Tax Administration. And I thought the main subject is "fuel tax". Geeez who's side are you on in this discussion. I understand being cautious and wanting the facts or truth, but your negative attitude that I get from your posts is not helping us get to the real meaning of this law.

Rant over.

My friend, that simply is not true. I have said from the very beginning, if someone with authority is willing to publicly publish a position from the State of Arizona, we all are better off. That does not mean an e-mail from some guy that may or may not have that authority. Also, as I have said before, people at the other end of a telephone and e-mails written by someone without authority are meaningless as is anyone's personal opinion... even yours.

Yes we all know what you've said and we've all seen your insults. Get over yourself.

Wow, I received Marks reply already!

Mr. Labertew:

As we discussed, if you own a motor home (RV) that is not subject to the weight fee as provided in ARS 28-5432, you are allowed to fuel your vehicle at the $.18 pump. Should you fuel at a $.26 pump, you may go inside the retail station and request an $.08 refund from the cashier.

I have also attached a policy memo regarding motor homes. Pay close attention to letter B, which states, โ€œA motor home is exempt from weight fees unless being used in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise.โ€

Please call or email with any questions.

Take care,

Mark

He was a firm beliver that RVs were exempt 2 years ago....then a call to ADOT, to a nondescript person on the phone, said no RVs are not exempt changed his mind. Now he is so dug in they are not exempt only a proclamation from the Governor of exempt status may change his position.

We will need a quorum to determine the answer to that. Count me out, we are leaving for dinner out and I presume this will all go away before I get back in a couple of hours.
