Am wondering how many people have consumer cellular as their cell phone carrier and how is coverage as you travel?

Who told you that? Consumer Cellular is Consumer Cellular. Total Wireless is own by TracPhone. Two complete and separate companies that have nothing to do with each other.

Take a look at the rates at totalwireless.com.

Total Wireless is part of consumer cellular. We have two lines with unlimited talk and text, and share 15 GB of data. In 2 years, we have never exceeded their data limit (or they don't check maybe). Our plan runs on the Verizon network. The cost of the two lines is $57 plus tax...or a total of approximately $62. You can bring your own cell phone or buy one of theirs.

I've been with them for 5 years. I had a ATT plan but it was way more than I needed after retirement. Went with CC and their 100 min plan all I needed and cut my monthly bill by 2/3s.

My wife has been with them for about 8 years and coverage matches my Verizon coverage. I plan on switching in January when my contract expires. As far as quality phones, they offer Motorola, Samsung and Apple among others.

They use the AT&T and T-Mobile network so there is good coverage.

I have used Consumer Cellular for several years. No problems, good coverage.

We used them for about 3 years. The coverage was as good as any...at least on the East coast where we are and mainly traveled. The cheapest we've had also. The only reason we left them was they don't (or didn't, not sure now) offer a plan with unlimited data. We had the max data plans and would be on the verge of going over every month. They other downside was the limited choice of quality smart phones, but you could bring your own.
