I had a TopGreener in the house that, after about 3 months, the USB ports just stopped working. IIRC others had that issue too. I just swapped it out, today, for another brand that I found at Home Depot. I'm hoping the other brand lasts longer.

Be gentle with it and maybe it'll last longer than mine did.

RoyB:

Electrical insulation. All my RV outlets, including the outdoor on clamp onto the wires in a parallel arrangement. There are no bare wires or exposed terminals.

Only an extra outlet and wiring I added have bare wires wrapped around exposed terminals. This outlet I put in a surface mount wall box.

Very nice but here is one that will work on 12 volt power. 12 volt

That is a nice, clean , way to mount 12V receptacles. Thanks for the lead!

I used a bunch of these throughout the camper.

But the one you posted would fit nicely in an outside weather box.

Is it insulation displacing like typical RV receptacles?

If you mean wall insulation.....This is a typical , poorly built, RV...There was zero insulation in this wall cavity. I used an inspection mirror to see if there was any up or down...Nope!

This was a wall cavity where lots of wires were run and I guess they just thought it wan't needed.

And you should have seen how the hole was cut in the side of the trailer for the receptacle. Only one screw out of four hit anything. It was basically held on with the Dicor sealant!
