HR44 Recordings. No access without antenna.

This issue happened before. Unable to access recordings on DVR unless hooked up to antenna.

Anyone else notice? This is a new problem.

I recall a fellow RV'er spent quite a bit of time fixing this issue last time it happened.

Yes I believe it was back in 2013. Wish I could remember the guy who finally got them to fix it. I think he must have spent a couple of weeks on it. I hate to talk to the CSR on the phone, can't understand them (they say they're speaking English), but Directv has a Facebook page and I posted a complaint there. Got a "Social Media Specialist" on Messenger who told me to refresh my receiver. Grrrr! Anyway, if everyone posts on FB and the AT&T tech site, at least they can't say "You're the only one who's complained."

We have the same problem but figure it wasn't worth it to call since we are in Alaska and have no service anyway.

Confirmed. Disconnected coax cable on my HR44, powered up and no recordings were available. Waited 60 minutes periodically trying various key combinations etc, Nothing, nada, zip. Reconnected coax and in 2 minutes live TV and all recordings available.

This is a disappointing DTV new problem.

Correct. This is important!
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

The cure was new software downloaded by DirecTV. Please call DTV tech support to complain so they can fix it "again"!
Such a horrible choice. All they want to say is put your antenna back up.

Ongoing useless discussion here too.

I remember when that happened. I searched for the post about it so I could review what steps were taken to resolve it but haven't had any luck finding it.

Just retested. Been up & running for a few days, no glitches on satellite.

Stowed antenna, was still able to view recording list, as noted by Bill above.

Turned receiver off/on. Not able to view recordings. Yes, something has changed.

Not sure what an F-53 is but if that's a 5er, I get that! My Genie has been running none stop for years and I travel 10-15,000 miles per year in a bus conversion.

If you can keep the power on using an inverter while you travel you should not have this problem. You should report the problem to DirecTV is you find you are unable to access your program after power loss and no antenna connection.
Thought about that but wanted the hard drive in the dvr parked while driving. Too much bouncing in the F-53.
