An interesting article about AT&T reducing video speeds on the Mobley with their new Stream Saver option which is on by default, but supposedly can be changed by the user. I say "supposedly" because I was unable to save the "Off" choice. Maybe you'll have better luck.

@Bill.Satellite It was obvious that there was interference. Read Here I do not remember how many of these fixes I saw. I knew I could get up and unplug the stick and use my antenna. Amazon had a smart plug and I had some points...........

I am not using any OTA as my satellite channels are local as well. If we ever get out of NJ I will see if there are any problems. Thanks for the heads up. Not sure how or why that would happen but I will watch for it.

I have the Mobley with the Connected Car plan and it is the only thing I have with AT&T. You guys scared me so I followed the directions to find my Stream Saver is ON. I did the dance with turning it OFF and doing SAVE only to get the "Something's Not working...." error.

Off to the Chat feature. The first time the tech was having problems getting it OFF so he transferred me to level 2 support. WHen he came on, I looked at the web page and it said it was OFF. Great Problem resolved. Somebody did something. End of Chat.

My session had timed out by then and when I logged in again, the display now said Stream Saver was ON again. Huh?? Back to Chat. This time I got a person who knew about the problem as she had fought it a few days ago. The web page is useless due to a "technical glitch". They can turn Stream Saver OFF on their end (which we can't) and it stays OFF. But the web page will show ON the next time you logon.

She claims it is OFF and will stay OFF despite what you see on the web page. The "Technical glitch" is supposed to be resolved in 2-3 days. I will be emailed when there is a solution. I didn't think to ask for an incident or trouble ticket number.

Bottom line call them and have them turn it off. Amanda K. is the lady who set me up. With any luck you will get her.

I do have copies of the transcripts from each Chat session if you are interested.

Just tried it. Have a Mobley, 2 AT&T cell phones for years, got the same message. Go figure. Luckily I want the Mobley for work and don't stream (much ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

Just got a Fire TV stick. It has pretty much screwed up everything with my Harmony remote but we will figure it out eventually.

So I did as mentioned above using the MyAtt log in page and it appears to have been successful as I got the following message:

You just changed the Stream Saver setting for this device. Wait five minutes, and then restart the device for the change to take effect.

I also waited 5 minutes, restarted the device (sim card is in a MiFi device) and went back to MyATT. The settings remains off.

Go to the top left of the page next to myAT&T and click on the 3 bars. On the drop down menu click on My Wireless and choose Manage Data. The Manage My Data page will open and the option to turn the stream saver off and on will be there. Chuck

goto my att
after the rigamarol start page
click the my att ICON, top left of screen
choose my wirelss
from the pop up menu choose, manage devices and features
scroll down to manage data, click see options
the
stream saver' slider button will now be visible, it will show 'green/ON'
click to turn off
now click the save button to the right

'save' does not work for me, i get an error msg "something wrong not working right now"

i tried CHAT, rep could not fix it, gave me tech number 800-381-0500

i have not called them YET
so no idea if it really can be fixed, or IF we one device users on discount plan are stuck

Which plan do you have? A standalone Mobley plan or is the Mobley a device on an Unlimited Plus plan?

It shows up in slightly different places, depending on the plan.

I can turn off the Stream Saver, but my account does say there's a problem displaying my 'plan', and I get messages saying Im exceeding my data usage, even though Im unlimited. Yes, I have high usage, but I haven't asked why I get those errors. Kinda don't want to initiate that discussion.

I will also say that my speed has slowed down over what it has been. I believe I am definitely getting throttled. It's a great option still for RVing, but I think I am going to add cable internet back to the home.
