JUst how many GB are needed?

OK I read a bunch of email, or at least glance at them. Over a hundred a day. Look at half a dozen news websites with little or no video. Every day. My wife does whatever she does on FB for 15 or 20 minutes a day.

Just how many GB will I need? I have not set up a hotspot on my phone tho it has the ability but want to do so. So I'm trying to get a feel for this.

no worries...there are downloadable "apps" for your PC that will do the same. for example:

I was thinking that I'd install the hotspot. Take my notebook and the phone out to where there is a good signal. I only have 2 bars at most at home. Then do a morning's run thru the net. That will give me a good baseline.

Checking my home usage is worthless since I do watch the occasional Netflix and YouTube there.

We plan to spend a long time out this summer since the wife can retire and I'm considering using her Verizon hotspot and buying a TOGO system for my ATT. I haven't seen any equivalent for Verizon. That will cover us I believe.

Phone the isp and ask what your data use has been for the last 3 months. Add 10%. Done!

If this is your normal internet activity, ask your current provider what your usage has been over the past few months.

or install an app that will track and compute just how much internet you use n a day/week/month, etc.
