My Mobley is not powering off.
This is the text displayed in the Power Settings. Read the last sentence.

"Notes: The user may define a time period for the mobile hotspot to stay on when the vehicle is turned off or idle. The factory default is 30 minutes. Starting the vehicle will always power the hotspot on. The mobile hotspot will power off automatically if the voltage of the OBD connector drops to 11.5v."

Richard

This is correct and the panic is totally unnecessary. As long as power is provided and above 11.5 volts the Mobley will stay on. If it does not, there is some other problem besides the new update. Mine and most others stay on as long as it has power. Chuck

This is a software update to the Mobley,
The same thing as when they update your phone
Except there are no controls on the Mobley for you to refuse or delay the update
It won't affect other hardware in which the Mobley SIM has been swapped
It does not change the terms of service etc of your contact

My Mobley SIM is also in netgear hotspot router
I do turn mine off at night, and I alternate with using my phone hotspot
I can explain it to you.

Our Mobley SIM is in a Netgear router and we have not seen any service interruptions. It's also powered on 24/7.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

We unplug ours every night when we are done using it. Not a big deal to do that either, and so far we haven't noticed any change.

Are all ATT updates flawed? Iโ€™m beginnng to think so. Sold all my ATT stock last week.

Before AT&T added the "Never" option to the Mobley, a friend of mine was using a digital timer to shut his Mobley off for one minute every two hours. He said it was a minor annoyance for the low cost of the data plan. I have my Mobley SIM in a different hotspot also, but I hope this firmware change doesn't mean they'll be tightening up on that as well.
