We keep hearing rumours that there will no longer be Shaw service across the border. That would be a real downer for us as we really emjoy that service while snowbirding. Just wondering if anyone here is currently using Shaw and is down south and can confirm if the service is still up and running. We don't really want to opt for a different provider. I have a friend who is having trouble setting up his dish in Taos Nm but am wondering if it is his fault as he is a new Sat dish user while RVing and not used to setting up his dish on the move so to speak.

I had heard that the majority of the HD programming was going to be there but the SD would remain on the old satellites.
We don't get from #1 to #112.

What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

We have been using the Shaw service on every stop from Calgary to Yuma with no problem. All the same channels as last year, just NOT any of the new channels on the new satellite that went up in spring but that was totally expected. The only difference is that they will NOT provide technical support while south of the 49, but that is not really an issue because many snowbirds are just as familiar with the Shaw service and what to do than some tech support people I have talked to in the past. So put your worries to rest. Just make sure your equipment is all working before you leave Canada.
