Streaming - Cell Phone to TV?

We have as DTV/ATT plan which allows DTV viewing on the smart phones.

Is there a way/device that would allow some sort of steaming from one of the phones to a dumb TV?

Does it have a mobile media port or micro hdmi port then you can stream via cable
If it has screen cast in the apps, you need a Wi-Fi to hdmi adapter to plug into the tv to receive the signal

like a roku or google chrome-cast etc..

The phones are Samsung 6 Edge

Howdy!

We have the same plan bundle with DirecTV and AT&T unlimited data. We where advised that we could Mirror our device to stream video. We have iPhone and IPads and we use a cable (see link) as mentioned to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime to our TV's. You can also use a wireless device called Apple TV.

If you have a android device it is easier as you can mirror your device to your TV, we used Chromecast when we had android devices.

Go to your phone store, tell them what you want to do, and they will sell you the correct cable.

bgum, is that the same jack on the phone that you plug into for the headphones?

Bob, we got in early and have an unlimited data plan. One grandson can go thru 100 gig in a month. :S

Don't forget how fast you will gobble up your phone data limit doing that.

Sure get a cable that fits your phone to HDMI plug on TV. Or Roku will do it.
