Using 2 sattelites antenas

I have been using a tailgater portable antena with Dish. Now I want to add a Winegard Carryout GS 2 permently installed on the roof of the class A, and keep the Tailgater as a portable for when it is needed. I have connection via the tailgater. I put the GS2 right next to the Tailgater, switched the wires and tried to acquire the sat signal. The GS2 couldn't find any sats. Is there something special I need to do with Dish like push a new signal? Or do I need to add some of the extra pieces that came in the box with the GS2? Thanks.

The reprogramming is done via the dip switches which I have done. Need to look into how to add power to the dome. There were several extra pieces in the box in addition to the dome but the instructions were weak as to what they do. The RV is prewired for the Sat dome so it is unclear exactly what I need. I'll just keep trying. Thanks for the help.

Most "Multiple provider" sat dishes come programmed for 101W. DirecTV

You need to re-program for the DISH system.

It does... The "Carryout GS2" is a similar Winegard automatic dish that can be permanently mounted or used as a portable unit, and works with multiple providers.

GS 2 may have to be changed for Dish. Mine came set up for DirecTV. Dome has to be removed and switches changed. Also as stated you have to have 12 volt power to the GS 2 while it searches for the Sats.

If I remember correctly, the Winegard needs the power supply to find the sats when first connected.
