Is there any way to get a VIP 211 to work on a dish with the Hybrid Pro LNB setup? It will not have a Hopper3 connected to it.

Thanx

The reason for this is we usually take the H3 with us in the RV. We now had the need for something at the S&B while the RV was gone. So I wanted to leave the 211 at the S&B but not have to go onto the roof to change the lnb.

I tried connecting it to my EA dish with Hybrid lnb. It did get signal but seemed to really struggle with the check switch.
I called Dish who said it DEFINITELY would not work. I figured for $7 I would give it a try.
It works. It does seem to take a bit longer when the channel selection has to change satellites. Oddly channel 99 is not there, but that may be a Hopper only deal with the sub channels.
