Wilson/WEboost Sleek Model Model 460007

I used the much older Sleek for many years with good results. Two years ago I bought one of the above "reconditioned". I threw it away.
Now my daughter has bought a new 460007 and it appears to function in a sense-----it makes a signal worse going from -96db to -107 or -84 to-87.
Does anybody out there have one of these that actually works?

Most modern phones use new voodoo to talk to the tower that boosters haven't caught up with yet.

Namely SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO. So if your phone has a decent signal, strapping it into a booster will likely make reception worse because the boosters do not support MIMO technology. However if you're on the boundary of a coverage area (say -113 or worse) then a booster will help because the phone has regressed to using a more primitive signal that the booster can understand.
