Winegard Sensar Amplifier

Has anyone ever had the amplifier go bad in the Sensar III head? I get no reception of the OTA channels others in the RV park are getting after multiple scans on the TV. I have 12VDC on the wall plate, the button is pushed in and the green light is on theoretically sending 12VDC to the amplifier in the antenna head.

We had a numb connection right at the roof a few years ago.

I second that, go up on the roof and check.

You may have not pointed the OTA Antenna properly at the local close by National Broadcast Towns. You also may not have your HDTV menu set to ANTENNA mode as well before scanning in any digital TV signals...

We get excellent HDTV service from the local towns just about everywhere we go using the crank-up Winegard BAT WING antenna that has the set of dipoles on the front of it...

I am pointed to the local OTA antennae according to the AntennaWeb website. TV is set for air and multiple scans were done. Thanks for the tips.

Check for 12-volts at the coax where it connects to the Sensar before writing it off. The short length of coax from the Sensar to the through the roof fitting is a relatively common trouble spot. It's a pretty easy replacement, if that's the problem.

Thanks, will check that.
