Does any one have the automatic rayzar dome antenna? How is it controlled? Is it remote control or is there a knob under it or how do you move the antenna to bring in a station that you want to watch....

So after only receiving 1-2 channels on my new TT, I took it back to the dealer to have all the COAX barrels replaced (advice from Heartland Customer service), and replacing the antenna with a Winegard Sensar and Wingman, I now get 44 channels.

The dealers price on the Wingman was twice what Winegard wanted, they sold it to me for Winegards price. They also threw in a Winegard antenna head at no charge, it was literally sitting in the corner of the shop.

Happy camper !

B8ll, that is great news! I was pondering if I could fabricate the head to fit the post.

That's a simple replacement. If I recall correctly the head is a direct replacement for the Winegard using the same holes. Put in the Winegard power supply and the new head (with Wingman assuming you have the room) and you are in business.
Worst case, an entirely new assembly will fit in the existing hole through your roof. Take the bad out and put the new in for about $120.

It's so low to the roof that you will still get a reduced signal if the broadcast is from the wrong side of your A/C unit. It also does not work on a metal roof (I'm out!). The Winegard Sensar w/Wingman is still the best.

Bill, did you replace an existing antenna with the Winegard? Wondering how hard it will be to do so. The one that came with my new TT is just not cutting it.

What kind of antenna is on your coach now, one of those flying saucer looking things?
I have replaced antennas and added antennas to many coaches including my own but I was in that business for a time so drilling a hole in the roof was not a big deal for me.

It is an Antenna Tek 550.
Looks similar to the Winegard Sensor.

Not in the RV business but I have been a building engineer for 30 years. Just have never cut into a good roof before lol

So after watching the video I am wondering if a station north of where you are and you are watching it how do you make it go to a station south of where you are? Looks like you would have to make your way to where the antenna is located and push the button then walk to where the tv is to see if it went to the one you wanted to watch. Too bad they did not incorporate a remote control.....

This is the most impressive alternative to my current Sensar Pro that I have seen. So many say to go to one of the 'omni-directional' antennas but I have yet to find one of those that is any good. This one moves to the direction and locks it in all on its own. Would love to hear from anyone who has made the switch.

I don't think I would like this dome antenna setup... With all of these modern features I won't anything to do when camping...
