Well, today (7-20) my Yahoo mail is down again after working briefly the other day. Whether it's Yahoo's fault or not, I doubt I'll be using it any longer. Anyhow, my other email providers are working well, such as Hotmail, GMX and Proton. I also use Gmail, which has become a bit of a pain recently by forcing me to use two factor identification in order to sign in.
From this comment, it sounds like you have email accounts with Yahoo, Hotmail, GMX, Proton and Gmail but access them all from their respective websites. You may realize you have options but when I see this in discussion threads I always scratch my head and wonder why someone chooses to use multiple email clients.
I use Gmail as my only client to access my email accounts but other email clients also allow access to multiple email accounts. Email from all accounts are visible in your email client inbox.
When you reply to an email, the email address it was sent to automatically shows as the reply's from address. When you compose an email, you can allow it to show a default email address as its from address or select another of your email addresses as its from email address. If you want received emails from different accounts kept separately (not sure why) you can configure an email client to divert incoming emails to a specific folder other than the inbox.
I don't know if your problems with accessing your Yahoo email are related to the Yahoo email client or the yahoo email server, but you could configure gmail to access your yahoo email account to see if your yahoo email is accessible via a different email client.
The Gmail two factor identification option is an option. I don't know why it is in effect for your Gmail, but it can be turned off in the Gmail settings.

Check yahoo mail several times a day on all my devices at work and home with no issues, my android tablets and cells work fine with yahoo as well. One thing that irritates me is they are always asking me to change to their new layout or format, I always decline and stay with classic yahoo mail. Sorry to hear about your frustrations, I would look else where if I had to constantly deal with these issues.
