Abbreviations in posts

Hi everyone,

I know that this is probably the stupidest question in the world. I'm trying to learn as much as I can as a newbie before jumping in. We just have a toe in the water right now and are experimenting with renting some different size and type of RVs for weeklong stats to see how we like them. But we're having trouble understanding a lot of the lingo.

Any recommendations on where I can find a list of Abbreviations and what they mean?

I, too, am new here. I had to ask what CG was, but figured it out before getting the answer - Campground 🙂 I'm sure there are many others I will discover as I peruse the forums.

I find brand names more frustrating, as in "Trimetric" instead of "battery monitor." It makes it difficult for beginners and even those who have another brand of battery monitor to follow a discussion.

C is Carol
D is Daniel

But I think it will mostly be B & C in the future 🙂

CCC=Cargo Carrying Capacity
GVWR=Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
GAWR=Gross Axle Weight Rating
GCWR=Gross Combined Weight Rating
TW=Tongue Weight
WD=Weight Disribution hitch
FHU=Full HookUp campsite (water electric sewer).
I know there are a lot more but i have to get back to work!

Sometimes the D=dear or dumb. I guess that goes for DH. Depends on who says it I guess

I, too, am new here. I had to ask what CG was, but figured it out before getting the answer - Campground 🙂 I'm sure there are many others I will discover as I peruse the forums.

Couple weeks ago an OP stated that his DW was a bit wide, figured he would be in the dog house for that - but he was describing his driveway (DW). :B

No. Look them up online as shown. Most people are able to remember them just seeing them once, and seeing them in context. Then there are some who don't take kindly to all this and think everything must be spelled out or it's the end of civilization as we know it.

They can change. TV is tow vehicle in the truck forum, and television in the tech forum.
