Best place online for RV loan

Hello,

We just learned our local bank does not do out of state loans. We reached out to Alliant and learned they dont loan to individuals buying from private parties. It seems a lot of banks are very risk adverse these days.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable online bank that lends 100k+ to individuals buying from private parties?

Thank you

Agreed. I've had great luck with my CU. They did our RV loan and the loan for my pickup (out of state dealer). Buying out of state was a pain in the neck, but the CU was never a problem.

Was 13 years ago, but wife and I purchased our first RV (private sale) with a cash down payment and financed the balance through State Farm Bank. Just provided purchase details to our agent, she called when the loan was ready to close. Went to her office to sign the documents, received the check and off to California we went. No problem at all.

Scratch my suggestion, State Farm exited banking last year.

I will give Bank of the West a call.

At one time it seemed like Bank of the West was the biggest RV loan companies out there, I'm not sure if that's still the case or not. We had them, never an issue.

X2. They've been doing this a long time. Good to deal with.

I have had excellent service for many years with Bank of the West when I bought a 2003 but slightly used RV TT in Texas in 2003 from Camping World dealer. Never any problems, tricks or gimmicks. Paid loan off early at their location in Reno, Nevada. It had one previous owner. Everything was done online and by phone.

When we sold an RV a few years ago, the buyer used Good Sam. They lined up inspections, dealt with my bank and handled everything. If I remember they got a good rate too.
